Thank you for putting so much hard work in guiding us through these few years in band, for always improving us. For always trying your best to help us whenever possible, and for trying to be our friends and not our seniors. Even though there may be conflicts within our section at times, we do know that whatever you do is for our own good. Thank you for all the joys and tears. What I want to say is thank you very much for the teddy bear and the framed photograph. It's very heartwarming to recieve them from you all and I am very touched indeed!

Also, I hope you all enjoyed the dance the sec 4s put up. It required a lot of confidence okay? Now the song is stuck in my head and I have been playing it over 15 times today. Ah, so addictive melissa!

Although I did not read the message you all wrote on the video as it passed by so quickly, I know that it's probably something very touching so thank you!

Thank you for all the support and yeah, you should know how I feel. I've written for you all the messages so yeah.

I'm sorry that I lost all the drawings, notes from everyone and everything because I was being careless, I just hope that it will come back to me soon.

oh my, the beijing trip is over and so is the 2nd week of term 3. fast, eh?

GREAT JOB FOR THE GOLD PEOPLE ((: YAY. the trip was fun! i know you all enjoyed yourselves. i did (:

well, its been great knowing all of you. i am really proud of all you juniors for trying so hard and despite all our shortcomings or whatever, doing a real good job of working together as a section to have fun and to play to the best of our abilities. i hope you all will keep this up to maintain the strong bonds within our section :D i'll certainly miss all of you. a lot. you all should treasure your time together before its too late. so continue to enjoy your band life! before there isnt any like it to enjoy no more.

Hello, IJ flutes!

I am now alumni! I've had a great time journeying with all of you this past year and for some of you, two years, and I'm sad I have to leave our section now. But, because I love you all so much, I'll be joining you all for one last performance on July 8th!:D

Well, continue to work hard and enjoy band. Put your best into all practices and listen to the seniors. Respect your new section leader and band leaders and don't give them trouble! I hope that the whole section will be able to bond together and grow closer, and I hope all of you will help each other to keep improving! I am proud of all of you for your improvements the past year, so keep it up!

Most importantly, love music and treasure this experience in IJ band!

Hey to everyone again!

So, band camp is over and it's less than a month to SYF now. Well, after the 'lecture' on Wednesday afternoon, I am glad to say that I have noticed improvement, and that I can see all of you putting in the effort to play well and to move and do what Mr Tan says, and I am really proud of us for making that effort. So, give yourselves a round of applause!

But, we cannot be too contented - there is always room for more improvement! So, keep working hard, come down for self practice or sectionals whenever possible, and don't forget our new slogan!

Hi, everyone!

Well, I just realised, I've never posted on the blog before. How ironic. Therefore, I've decided to post my first post! Must leave my mark.

Sigh. I'm already sec 4. Time flies so fast. Feels like I was just sec one not long ago, and now I'm the most senior here. I really miss the ex-sec 4s; I was reading the old posts the other day, and I realised that I miss all their craziness especially. I must say, our current flute section is much more serious then before. I am not saying being serious is a bad thing, it's just different.

Anyway, new juniors coming in soon...and syf this year! So, a little message to you all! Sec 2s, work hard! You all are seniors this year, so you've got to start learning independently, and I'm sure you can improve as much as the sec 2s last year did. And for all of us, keep going! It would be great if all of us could go for syf, so work hard towards the gold, to make the gold ours this year! (:

I am so proud of us. We played extremely well, and we achieved a long awaited gold with distinction. Yup. Continue this on, and we'll be the top band in singapore, getting the medal that we want in syf 2007 - Gold with Honours. Work hard yeah.. and have faith in yourself. This competition has proved one thing - We can achieve, as along as we have faith in ourselves!!

Qi Yi you know about the section outing right, you told me to bring about $10 but you see if we are going to have lunch and go somewhere else, like for example ice skating, we will definately need more than $10 unless you plan is to starve us to death or another alternative is to eat the ice. He! He! OK that was not very funny. Yup but you get me point right.

harlow everybody. haha. sorry to change the day of the outing like alot of times. haha. can't help it.
i'm such a disorganised person. but anyway, this is finalised, and i think most of you know it that we are having our outing on monday, the 14th of november, i think. yes, that's the day. so where shall we go. give me ideas if you have okay.

possible places to go/things to do
watch a movie, possibly just like heaven, chicken little... etc
go swimming~! *bubble*
go ice skating (i copied the saxophones' idea. i know i am mean)
go bowling (expensive)
go jogging (so tedious)
have lunch (duh)
eat mini oreos!!

I'm running out of ideas. if you have any suggestions, please tell me. btw, i think the meeting time would be at about 11.00 at town? possibly? orchard mrt station. dont worry will confirm tmr. but ideas are a must have. so we can plan our day ahead!! yay! section outing. so excited *hyperventilating* *faints* *giggle*

Hello~! did you all enjoy the band camp? this font is the best i can find. but anyway, i hope we enjoyed the band camp ( the morning part).
Afternoon was too sleepy and sectional-ish and night was too cold to sleep in comfort.
Not to mention the lost of sleep due to the hard floor. haha. we managed to sleep like

Where the first two were alicia and roxanne
the second two were guinevere and melissa
and the third pair were me and rose marie.

see we are such an organised and united section, that in sleep, we do not part. haha. Michelle is not included as she is not a flautist. because she plays the piccolo, and i won't allow her to spoil the formation of the formidable ij flute section. Okay... I am beginning to crap. but anyway. study hard and work well, because Mr chan said so (haha. VERY funny). i think its more likely because flutes are smart people, and people who join band are smarties(not the chocolates though)... bye

I am sooooooooo thick skin. but come to think of it, the flutes are all thick skin. really. i can't think that i am actually this senile to leave my file on the table this morning and cant remember putting it there at all.
